Wirral Hospitals Artist in residence 1989 - 1994
The residency grew out of a 'one off ' mural painting at Clatterbrige Hospital and developed into a five year programme of art across Wirral Hospitals.
I changed the hospital environment with murals, art sessions with patients and staff together with regular open studios.
Eventually a committee was formed and linking with the Arts works, - a community arts company I had been working with, my post was developed ....
As the ' Coordinator for Arts works in health' funding was secured for many other artists to be employed e.g. poetry, dance, music, performance, photography, etc
The project culminated in a retrospective exhibition in Birkenhead.
